“Sahyog” Animation Center an organization for providing hope and support to tribals and marginalized cimmunity for development through cultural promotion and education
Background:
Sahyog is a voluntary registered Trust working for the development of tribals and marginalized population currently in Vasai area of thane district since 1996. From the time of its inception, it has focused its humanitarian service mainly in the four villages of vasai taluka; Bhuigaon, Nirmal, Gass and Girij. The tribal in these four villages are migrants from Mokhada, Manor, Palghar, Jawhar in Maharashtra, Whose main occupation is farming. Also there are some others who have been living in these villages for hundreds of years as landless laborers. The total population of this villages would be approximately 25000 and of these about 6000 tribals. These tribes are scattered all over the Thane district of Mumbai presidency in Maharashtra.
